At the end of last winter I was going through my makeup and noticed there are only few lip products I really used. I made a note to myself I should write about that next winter, so here it goes. My top 3 lip products for fall and winter. (Boldly she writes when actually thinks of seven others she could mention.)
Colder days are the ones for darker red tones to me. I don’t wear bright pink lips in autumn or winter, but fifty shades of berry red are my thing. If you’re interested in picking a lip product that will carry you through whole season, go with one of mentioned below. You can’t go wrong with either of them and they will suit you day and night. You can wear them lightly or heavier applied and remain stylish and comfortable.
This stain is a bit tricky to apply. But its’ lightness and ability to maintain color (and not transfer it everywhere) throughout the day, makes it perfect for colder days. There will be no lip stain residue on your favorite scarf (or on your partner underneath the mistletoe). You can read full review on this product here.
Oily and lipglossy, but it doesn’t stick (to your hair on a windy day). Not highly pigmented, but with just an ideal amount of color. Makes your lip luscious and comfortable. It nourishes your lips while making them kissable. This favorite was reviewed here, so if you like to know more click the link.
- Catrice MATT Lip Artist in color 030
As I’m writing this I’m noticing earlier this year this product was discontinued. I don’t know why, but it’s a shame. This was a good one. With a price less than 5€ and velvety creaminess, it was that perfect combination of matt lipstick and lip balm. Packaging was bad (product stained my bag on more than one occasion) and the scent wasn’t good either. But it was still amazing product that served its purpose for less than 5€. I’m still happily using it this autumn.

As last product isn’t available anymore, I feel like I owe you another recommendation. And what is better recommendation than a lip balm? Any kind of it. I’m currently using classic Labello and it seems like an excellent fit for this post. It’s the one I use every day, just as my all-time favorite Clarins Instant Light Lip Oil. (Review here.) With cold temperatures, wind and snow around us, this cannot go unmentioned.
What are your favorite lip products for Autumn/Winter? Do you also have colors for cold and warm days or you wear the color you please that day? Write to me in the comments.
Until next time,
